Your educational journey begins by mapping out a career plan that is customized to you and answering any questions you have.
Once you enroll at East Ohio College, you will begin training to gain the skills, knowledge, and experience you’ll need in your new career. By attending East Ohio College, students will attend smaller classes, allowing instructors to give personalized attention and additional help when students need it.
Toward the end of your education, our career services team will assist you in many services that prepare you to enter the workforce. Some of these services include career advising, resume writing, and interview preparation. At East Ohio College, helping you succeed is our priority.
Fast-Track Training
A major benefit of attending East Ohio College is our programs can be completed in less than two years. East Ohio offers direct admission, so students will not spend four to six years completing their degree, allowing them to enter the workforce quickly.
By gaining the skills and knowledge to get a head start in their career in less than two years, students will start gaining work experience and salaries quicker.
You can even complete an online degree with East Ohio College in Medical Assisting, Dental Assisting, Medical Billing/Administration, and Business Administration! These programs give students a best of both worlds approach to training.
We also offer accelerated, nine-month programs in Medical Assisting and Dental Assisting to students looking to enter the workforce with the necessary skills in an even shorter amount of time.
Hands-On Skills
We know that hands-on training allows students to become more comfortable in their skills, and we incorporate many opportunities to practice these skills in real work environments throughout every program.
East Ohio Online Medical Assisting and Dental Assisting students will have designated clinical days to practice the skills they learn in online classes. Both online and residential students will gain experience and complete an externship in a real-world setting.
Certification Opportunities
We prepare you for professional healthcare certifications and licensing exams, which is another aspect that makes East Ohio College unique from other colleges. Earning these certifications and licenses shows employers that you have the necessary skills and knowledge to be successful in the workplace.
As part of our Medical Assisting program, students will prepare for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant* exam. In our Medical Billing/Administration program, students will prepare to sit for valuable certification exams, including the Certified Billing and Coding Specialist* and the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant** exam. Dental Assisting students will be prepared to sit for the Nationally Registered Credentialed Dental Assistant (NRCDA)* exam.
Students who complete our Nursing or LPN to RN Bridge programs will prepare to sit for the NCLEX-RN° licensing exam. Our LPN to RN Bridge program allows students who are Licensed Practical Nurses to continue their education and become Registered Nurses in as little as 16 months.
