Meet Amanda Wharton, This Week’s Student Highlight!
Amanda Wharton has been a student in the online Clinical Medical Assistant program at East Ohio College since May 2022. Her hometown is Rayland, OH, and she is a graduate of Buckeye Local High School. Prior to enrolling at East Ohio College, Amanda was a stay-at-home mom. When she decided the time was right to continue her education, she began exploring her options. She spent time comparing the reviews from several different colleges and decided on East Ohio College due to its fantastic reviews. In addition, EOC offered her the flexibility to successfully balance her busy home life with college.
Amanda chose the online medical assisting program because she has always been interested in working in the medical field, where she can help people, especially kids. Amanda has ambitious goals for her future. After graduating in November 2023, she would like to work in a pediatric office and continue her education to become a nurse. When asked what her favorite part of attending East Ohio College is, as well as her favorite instructor and class, Amanda replied, “I love the teachers and the staff around here. They are all so helpful and caring. My favorite teacher and class would be medical assisting, and my favorite teacher is Mrs. Scott because she has been so helpful and welcoming to this program”.
Amanda has enjoyed her experience here at East Ohio College and would absolutely encourage family and friends to attend here. When Amanda is not busy with family or schoolwork, she enjoys hiking and vacations to the beach.
