Trunk or Treat 2022

On November 27th, the East Ohio College Student Government Club participated in a Trunk or Treat event in Lisbon, Ohio. The Community Action Agency Head Start of Columbiana County sponsored the event.

Since being founded more than 50 years ago, CAA of Columbiana County has worked to strengthen the community by introducing programs and services that provide financial assistance and services to low-income households and individuals, and small businesses. Their mission is to strengthen the community, foster well-being, and promote self-sufficiency. A big shout out to the EOC Student Government Club members and Craig Monte, East Ohio College Career Management Director, who volunteered their time to participate. Malynn Bistarkey, Trista Furbee, Dakota Long, Amiya Reed, and Linseigh Talbott. They are students in the Medical Assisting program and are valued members of the East Ohio family.

An estimated 400 kids attended the event, and the evening was a lot of fun! It supported a great cause and was a great way to promote East Ohio College in our community. To get the needed candy for this event, the EOC Student Government Club raffled off a $25.00 gift card to anyone who contributed a bag of candy. Over 2,000 pieces of candy were supplied, which produced 500 bags of candy for distribution. One of the admission team members won the raffle, and the leftover candy bags were placed at the East Ohio front desk the following day and didn’t last long. A special thank you to everyone who participated in our annual Trunk or Treat!
