What Are The Benefits Of Accelerated Programs?

When looking for a college, it is important to consider which institutions will best prepare you for a successful educational experience and professional career. By choosing a college that offers accelerated programs, you prioritize learning the knowledge and skills that will allow you to enter your career quicker than at a traditional college.

Time Spent In School

Students in East Ohio College’s accelerated training programs can expect to complete their degree or diploma in two years or less. This allows our students to complete their education faster without spending extra time taking classes that aren’t related to their field of study.

Industry-Specific Learning

Students in our accelerated healthcare or business training programs have the advantage of taking industry-specific classes that will help them gain the exact knowledge and skills needed for their careers. By taking courses directly related to their program of interest, our students can expect to be well-prepared to enter their future careers.

How Can An Accelerated Program Help You?

Attending one of East Ohio College’s accelerated training programs allows you to get a head-start on your career and provides you with experience that sets you apart from your competition in the workforce. Our healthcare programs offer students hands-on experience through clinical rotations and an externship at a local medical facility. In addition, our online business students can expect to complete virtual experiences and an externship where they will apply their knowledge.

Our students will also be prepared to sit for industry-specific certification* exams, which show potential employers that you possess the skills necessary to be successful in your career.

Gain Hands-On Experience

At East Oho College, providing students with hands-on experience as a part of their education is an integral part of our academic programs. Throughout their program, our students will complete classroom lab experiences, clinical rotations, and an externship where they will have the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a hands-on situation. Toward the end of each program, students will work with East Ohio’s career management team to set up an externship with a local organization. The combination of these experiences will show employers that you have experience working in the field.

Earn Industry Certifications

Another advantage of attending East Ohio College is that our programs are designed to prepare students to sit for industry-specific certification* exams, which are valuable for both students and employers. By earning a National Healthcareer Association (NHA) certification* exam, you show potential employers that you have been evaluated by a third-party organization and are up to the industry standard.

Students in our LPN to RN Bridge and Registered Nursing programs will also prepare to sit for the NCLEX-RN~ exam.
