Hillery Haupt – Staff Highlight

Meet Nursing Administrative Assistant Hillery Haupt!

East Ohio College would like to welcome the newest addition to our campus family, Nursing Administrative Assistant Hillery Haupt. Hillery is a 2019 Ohio Valley College of Technology alumnus and will assist the Nursing program director Tammy Clutter and all the nursing faculty with a wide range of administrative support. She is excited about the variety of work she will be doing daily and will no doubt meet and exceed expectations.

Hillery is from the East Liverpool area and graduated from Beaver Local High School in 2007. She has been employed as a waitress at Bob Evan’s Restaurant for over 15 years and plans on continuing part-time. During her time there, she has established many regular customers who request her as their waitress due to her excellent service and friendly personality. Hillery was also employed as a Medical Assistant at the Heritage Valley Medical Center for two years, gaining valuable medical field experience that will serve her well in her new position. In addition, she worked as a COVID screener at the new Shell Refinery plant.

When asked why she chose the position at East Ohio College, Hillery stated that having graduated from OVCT, she knew how fantastic the faculty was and thought it would be a great place to work. In the short time she’s been here; she identifies working every day with the staff as her favorite part of working for East Ohio. She states, “The staff is amazing, and I really enjoy coming to work. I have quickly become a part of the EOC family”.

Although Hillery hasn’t been here long enough to have a specific favorite East Ohio memory, she is excited about making good memories as time goes on. Hillery is motivated by her three boys. She has always been a single parent, and her family depends on her to do her best. When asked what she’s most proud of, it’s no surprise that her children are her biggest source of pride. She states, “My children never cease to amaze me. I love watching them grow into amazing young men”.

In her off time, Hillery enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and making lots of great memories. She recently got engaged while on vacation in Punta Cana and is very excited about the next chapter of her life. East Ohio College is fortunate to have Hillery onboard, and she is a welcomed member of our family.
