Meet Clinical Medical Assistant Student
Allyson Eckelberry!
Allyson Eckelberry is enrolled in the Clinical Medical Assistant program at East Ohio College. When Allyson started searching for a college to attend, she became discouraged when most local colleges didn’t respond to her request for information. Luckily for EOC, Allyson didn’t give up. She did a Google search, came across East Ohio College, and knew she had found her home. Allyson was very impressed with the quick response and the professional and friendly admissions staff. She explained that the staff took the time to get to know her, ask the right questions, and assist her in selecting the right program.
Allyson chose the Clinical Medical Assistant program because she has always wanted to help people and work in the medical field. In addition, she has several relatives who work in the healthcare industry and wants to do her part to carry on the family tradition. When asked what her favorite part of attending East Ohio College is, she said there are a lot of positives. However, making new friends and making new memories tops the list.
Allyson’s favorite instructor is Mrs. Scott, and her favorite class is Anatomy and Clinical 1. She is very impressed with her because she pushes you to work hard, be your best, and learn the information you need to be the best medical assistant. In addition, Mrs. Scott knows how to make everyone feel relaxed and confident on test day with her sense of humor. She knows how to make learning fun, and that’s important.
Allyson has a game plan for when she graduates. Her professional goal is to work in a hospital or medical office and possibly specialize in a specific area once she gets some experience. In her private life, she wants to marry the love of her life and, after a few years, start a family. Regarding interests and hobbies, Allyson is obsessed with her two dogs and enjoys watching movies, cooking, and spending quality time with her loved ones.
Allyson really enjoys everything about East Ohio College and would definitely recommend it to family and friends because “You make friends that will last a lifetime.”
