One option is to immediately enter the workforce with a job in food service or retail. Another option is to enroll in a traditional university and be there for the next 4-6 years. A career-focused college degree may be your best option for those who aren’t willing to spend that much time and money.

It can be helpful to discuss your plans for after high school with other people in your life, such as parents, friends, teachers, and guidance counselors. They may have viewpoints and thoughts that you had not considered. After reviewing the options you have for after high school, now you’re ready to create a plan personalized just for you. Your plan will be based on your career goals.
